Karen Walker was the typical housewife. She cooked, cleaned, and tended to her two children. Karen also had a past. A dark secretive past that not even her husband knew about. Karen’s past was so dark that to look at her she didn’t look like the type that would’ve gone through what she went through as a child. Karen’s past was so scary that she found herself taking on the spirit of her mother. She found herself talking, and acting just like her. At one point in her life, she thought she was going crazy.  Karen was also devoted to her local church.  Karen knew that she had to come face to face with the demon called, “past.” She knew she had to be healed of her open wounds she thought was closed.

Tammy Wiley was a saved, sanctified, holy ghost filled young woman just starting out in ministry. She loved the Lord and she felt in her heart that He loved her. She was right! She often used mightily by God in ministry. There was one problem. She was a stranger in the midst of chaos, confusion, and stubbornness. She was a stranger in the midst of the spiritual family she thought cared, loved and adored her. Tammy would often go home and cry until she fell asleep. There was no one to talk to about what she was feeling. There was no one she could reach out to. She trusted no one. Some people would often start rumors about her. To Tammy, it was hard being a true born again believer. In all her situations, she tried to make the best out of them. She would continue to speak and be pleasant with the very ones she knew didn’t care for her.

We can all put ourselves in one or maybe two of these situations. The best thing to do if we are caught in one of these is to confess. We need to confess that there is a problem. After we have confessed, then we need to take to the Lord. Yes, the Lord knows about it, but He will not move in the situation until we let Him know that we are serious about getting rid of it.
