Have you ever felt like the odd girl out...the fifth wheel...the forgotten? It's a painfully lonely place to be, but priceless lessons lie deep beneath the surface of each rejection. No one wants to be left out, but it's just part of life.

"But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known." Luke 12:2 Wow, it's been a long time since I'd written a post on here; I almost feel lost. While reading Scripture today I came across this one and I must say immediately when my eyes read this passage I ran to my computer! I know without a doubt God is speaking today! Have you ever done something in secret? Have you ever felt like no one was watching and that just this one time really won't matter? Have you ever said these often spoken words, "no one will ever know"? Well, unfortunately, I have and all too often! And every time, inevitably the truth became known. And every time, consequences had to be paid! Rest assured, nothing you have done in your past is unforgivable, at least not in God's eyes. He already knows you did it so why not admit it? Look to your Maker and admit your faults, ask His forgiveness, wholeheartedly; and then accept His Grace. He loves you just the way you are. His desire is that you become the person He wants you to be. But remember, it's not what you do in order to become that person, it's because of what He did that gives you that privilege! And I do mean privilege! Being all that He wants you to be and less of what you want to be is an Amazing accomplishment. Doing what He instills in you to do rather than what you desire is all the more admirable. We all fail, we all make mistakes but thank God for Jesus, because of his sacrifice we are forgiven. Let's talk!

Every day I get excited when I find yet another thing that God is working on in me. Maybe it's my temper-that needs to be lowered a degree or two, maybe it's my lack of trust in Him evidenced through worry and fear-that needs to be raised a bit, maybe it's my overall disposition of being dis-content with where I am at this stage of my life-(now that is a greater task)that needs readjusting, or any of the many other faults I bear. Two things I am certain of is this, I cannot change these things on my own, and He is faithful! I didn't acquire these misdemeanors overnight. Circumstances and time enveloped them into my being. So then why do I expect so much of myself? His word tells me that HE is ABLE to complete that which He has begun in me. He looks at me and sees the completed project, I see me in the now. What a reassurance: He's not finished with me yet! Philippians 1:6 (KJV) "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ" Let's talk.

A while back, I met the most interesting lady. She was a visitor to our midweek Bible study, and at fellowship time, she began to talk with a friend and me. Her eyes lit up as if she had a wonderful secret to tell. She leaned forward to whisper, “Do you live on God time?”

When can "broken" become another word for "beautiful"?

    Why Worry

It is so cold here this morning in Florida. As I was sitting in my office I looked out the window to see this little bird. It inspired me to take it's picture and then it made me think of God..

    Do-Overs

I am so excited about a New Year. I always get this way. There is something about 12 months of unknowing. A clean slate. A fresh "Do-Over"

Defined by the dash between the year of our birth and the year of our death, we have just a short time to live a life of purpose...to make a difference...to fulfill our calling. Our birth certificate may inadvertently come with a life expectancy, but it isn't guaranteed. Tomorrow may never come. So what should we be doing with the days the Lord has given us? Which dreams should we be pursuing? How then should we live?

Looking into desires and passions. Searching and praying for God's best. It's what we all want. How can it be done?

I love Christmas. I love the lights, music, laughter, friends, and family. But most of all I love Jesus!!

I know it's a little early but with the presence of the upcoming holidays looming largely over our lives, my attention is focused on Christmas. I don't mean to skip right past the oh-so important day of Thanksgiving, but with the ever increasing attempts to rewrite our history and redefine our holidays, Christmas is on my mind.

How you ever believed a lie? Swallowed a whopper hook, line and sinker only to discover that it was a falsehood fabricated in a misrepresentation, wrapped in a warp and tied up with a tainted twist? I have. About me.

Thanksgiving is a chance to lift our eyes from our human-soaked selves and focus on the ultimate Source of all good things and every perfect gift. (

Many people never achieve their God-given, God sized dreams because the goal seems unattainable. Like climbing a mountain...they can see the top, but it's so far away. They know where they want to go, they're just not sure of the steps they need to take in order to get there. They need to map out a step by step plan to reach the peak. Without it, fear and doubt become their excuse for a status quo life and their hearts are filled with frustration from what should have and could have been. Their dreams fade into regrets. I don't want to live like that. Do you?

"No matter how long it takes - no matter how far. I will find you." A search for a missing child turns up more than the usual "find."

This was published in Hearing Loss Magazine a few years ago.

Sometimes life leaves us frantically looking for answers, but we don't always run to right place. Jesus offers wisdom to all who will run to Him and seek His face. He is our Wonderful, Counselor.

Jesus! The mere mention of His name makes my heart melt with thankfulness and adoration. That's probably true for you, as well. When we become a Christian, we know know Him as our Savior and our Lord. But He is so much more. He is also our Advocate. Enjoy unearthing the treasure that is found in His title, Advocate. Our Savior has made Himself known to us in ways we have yet to discover. He is AMAZING!
